How can I activate Compression or Encryption for the data stored in MAP?
Find the location of your saved emails using the "regedit" application above. Using Microsoft Explore, click down the directory tree until you reach MAP's doc directory. Double-click on the "doc" icon, and you will see a directory (or file folder) called "000000". Right-click on this file folder, and click on "Properties..." and then "Advanced". The following menu will appear:

Click on "Compress contents to save disk space", click "OK" and then tell Windows to compress this folder and any sub-folder. Click "Apply" and Windows will immediately begin to compress this data as well as any new email that MAP adds to this directory. Most people will see about a 50% savings in disk space using this method.

Download and test Mail Archive Pro immediately, and for free! Without licensing it is executable for 30 days without limitations.
