2. Execute the Setup File and start MAP
3. Click "Purchase" at the eLicense dialog
4. Process your purchase, and start to use MAP

Desktop Licensing is the preferred format for users with Internet connections. With this method, you download the software first, and then make your purchase from within the software. Please note that the same rigorous security and encryption routines used in our Webstore apply to software licensed from the desktop as well.

The difference between Webstore purchasing and Desktop Licensing is that with Desktop Licensing, you will enter your purchase information from within the Mail Archive Pro Software (versus at the Webstore web site). But both technologies are using a safe internet connection.

Following is a step-by-step overview of Desktop Licensing.

Step 1: Download the installation file mapsetup.exe.

Step 2: Open the mapsetup.exe file after you have completed downloading it. Follow the on-screen instructions for installing.

Step 3: Launch MAP by clicking on the appropriate desktop icon.

Step 4: A screen similar to the one below will appear. Click on the PURCHASE button (note: if you purchase a license at the Webstore or by phone, you would click the LICENSE button and enter the Order ID you received from ViaTech). Another screen will appear, displaying the price of the software. Click next to continue.

Step 5: The next two screens will prompt you for personal information and billing data. Please complete all required fields. These screens should appear similar to the one displayed below.

Continue through the screens that follow, using the onscreen prompts and instructions.

Step 7. Advance to the screen summarizes the data you entered. Click on the COMPLETE THE PURCHASE button to purchase your license. Make certain that you are connected to the Internet, as the software will connect to our servers to verify your purchase.

Click on the "License" button that appears when you first launch MAP, and enter your Order ID. Once you finish this one-time license process, you will be ready to play!

If you want to install MAP on a computer without internet access, but are having internet access on another computer, you might use the "offline licensing" feature. Download MAP and transfer it to the offline computer, for example by burning it onto a CD. Install and start it on the offline computer. In the ourchase screen, click on "Offline license" and follow the instructions. Basically you will get a string which can be used in a browser on a computer with internet access to retrieve a license. Enter this on the offline computer, and MAP will work.

You can purchase Mail Archive Pro with a personal check or money order in U.S. dollars (most international banks can issue money orders in U.S. dollars).
